Elliot Richardson   RHB RAMFOur very own 'Top Gun' who earned his opportunity at 1st team cricket in 2015 having, since birth, risen through the ranks at Woodlands.  Steadily improving all the time and showing real promise to turn in to a highly effective opening bowler.

Elliot is not bad with the bat either, averaging over 18 in his first season in our 1st XI, underlining his potential to bat further up the order than number 11.

Scott Richardson  RAMF  RHB Scott has only ever played for Woodlands CC and hopefully it will stay that way despite overtures from other envious clubs.  He followed his father (Wayne) into our 1st XI and is also joined by his younger brother Elliot.  Since making his debut, Scott's bowling has improved to the point where he is now, by right, our regular first change bowler.  His performances in 2013 attracted the attention of Cumberland Minor Counties selectors for whom he has played with some distinction to the delight of all at Albert Terrace.

Scott was a match winner in our 2015 Heavy Woollen Cup Final victory over Hoylandswaine with figures of 5-43.

Sam Frankland  RHB RAM A product of Halifax League club Triangle who joined Woodlands from Elland CC for the start of the 2007 campaign.  He was top scorer in his first season and he has proved to be a consistent and unflappable run getter, helping the club off to many a solid start.  A brilliant out fieldsman, his little used slow/medium pacers have often been valuable, particularly in cup matches and are regarded as under used by many.  Now in his 11th season at Albert Terrace, with a highest score of 163*, he has already won 4 championship medals and was stand in skipper in the 2015 Heavy Woollen Cup victory in Pieter Swanepoel's absence.

Greg Finn  RHB WK
Greg was a newcomer to the team for 2015 having joined from Huddersfield League club Elland where he was captain. Greg brings experience and enthusiasm to the team with his glove work and has showed, when given the chance, just how capable he is with bat in hand as well especially during 2017.  A fierce competitor, Greg sets very high standards in everything he does and is a real asset to the team.

Chris Brice  LAS LHB  Widely regarded as one of the league’s leading all-rounders, Chris, twice winner of the Sir Learie Constantine all-rounders trophy has won both the batting and bowling averages in the Bradford League.  Brought up at Birstall CC in the Central Yorkshire Cricket League, has been with the Yorkshire academy and joined us from Cleckheaton CC in 2003.  Along with Swanny & Saffy he was an integral part of our 6 championships, Priestley Cup, Heavy Woollen Cup and Black Sheep Champions Trophy successes.

Tim Jackson (Capt) LHB  Tim is in his 3rd season at Woodlands, having joined from near neighbours Cleckheaton.  In the last few years, he has made a name for himself as one of the leading opening batsmen in the Bradford League, twice helping Cleckheaton to win the league title and in 2013 he won the League's "Players' Player of the Year" award.

2 years ago, Tim, in his first year as WCC skipper, led his side to a Priestley Cup Final win over Pudsey St Lawrence at Spen Victoria.  Last year, he guided the side to victory in the Heavy Woollen Cup.

Kez Ahmed  RAS RHB  Kez is also into his 3rd season at Albert Terrace after moving from Pudsey Congs CC in early 2016.  Previously having played for East Bierley CC, with whom he topped the Bradford League bowling averages in 2012, Kez is a vastly experienced Bradford League cricketer who is also more than capable of chipping in with the bat when required..

Liam Collins  LHB LAS
It is not without merit that Liam Collins joins the WCC 1st XI for 2017 as a top order batsman and we have already witnessed in his limited 1st XI outings that he is also a more than useful left arm spinner. Liam is a big game player who seems to play without nerves and great freedom. Having been an integral part of the 2nd XI for the last few years, he will want to grab his 1st XI chance with both hands.
